Kyle slams 'messy' rival breakfast show on 2Day FM: 'It was all over the place'

It's official! Kyle has had a sneaky listen to rival breakfast show on 2Day FM… and he thinks it's all "too messy!"

Talking exclusively to TheFIX, Kiss FM's latest addition Kyle and Jackie O have admitted to switching on and sussing out their competition.

Kyle said: "I'll be honest. I listened to the show for a few minutes and it was all over the place. But that's what happens when you have a few alpha personalities, there is no balance at all! And what about when they have a guest on? I know you shouldn’t judge anyone on the first day of a new show but I sure did."

So what can listeners expect from their new show ? Jackie was confident that "all those creative ideas that had been rejected by 2DayFM could now be looked at and put into action at the new station."

Kyle added: "It's great that we're now working with a great radio team as opposed to a bunch of accountants we had to answer to back at our old place." Yikes!

Only last week, we posted a promo for the pair which saw Jackie pushing Kyle in the pool… is that part of their new creative direction?

Kyle said: "I was planning on doing it to Jackie! I was stuck in my new car soaking wet without any pants on… I'm sure the truckie I pulled up alongside was not too happy to see me in my wet undies."

With cheeky banter aside, there's one thing for sure… Kyle is confident that the duo will be number one in no time at all.

He said: "It's not an arrogance thing, I just know that we can do it. In twelve months' time, number one spot will be ideal."
