Kris Smith, Ellen DeGeneres and more respond to Ariana Grande Manchester concert tragedy

The world is rallying behind Ariana Grande and her fans after a fatal explosion went off following her performance at Manchester Arena on May 22.  

The suspected terror attack claimed the lives of 22, with at least 59 others injured.

Given the 23-year-old popstar's demographic, the majority of concertgoers were young female fans, many under the age of 14.

Following the tragedy, Ariana expressed her devastation on Twitter writing, "Broken. From the bottom of my heart, I am so so sorry. I don't have words."

Fellow musicians, celebrities and fans have since taken to social media to offer their support, using their platforms to rally behind the popstar and those hurting from the tragedy.

Australian-based model Kris Smith spoke out in support of the city of Manchester -- his home town -- in a heartfelt Instagram post.

"It really breaks my heart that this continues to happen, this time again in my home town," the 38-year-old, who shares son Ethan with former partner Dannii Minogue wrote. "There are children separate from parents and at least 19 dead, something needs to be done about this behaviour.

"Sending love and hope to everyone," he continued, adding the hashtag: "#prayformanchester."

Ruby Rose spoke out shortly after the explosion writing, "Sad to my stomach for everyone in Manchester and to the concert goers, @ArianaGrande and everyone affected. Thoughts and prayers."  

Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj, who Ariana counts as one of her closest friends tweeted, "My heart hurts for my sister, Ariana & every family affected by this tragic event in the U.K. Innocent lives lost. I'm so sorry to hear this." 

Ellen DeGeneres also took to Twitter, throwing her support behind the 'Side By Side' singer.

"Sending you so much love," Ellen wrote.
