The October 2016 robbery took place in a Paris apartment where Kardashian was staying for Paris Fashion Week.

"We can confirm that Ms. Kardashian will be testifying in person at the upcoming French criminal trial involving the 2016 incident in which she was bound and robbed at gunpoint by a number of masked assailants," lawyer Michael Rhodes said in a statement provided to the Associated Press.

The reality TV star and entrepreneur has ″tremendous appreciation and admiration for the French judicial system″ and ″wishes for the trial to proceed in an orderly fashion in accordance with French law and with respect for all parties to the case," the lawyer said.

Kardashian is no stranger to her courtroom – her father Robert Kardashian was famously one of OJ Simpson's lawyers.

Also, in the years since the Paris robbery, Kardashian herself has trained and become a lawyer in the US, passing the bar exam and working in the field of prison reform.

The now-44-year-old reflected on the horrific experience in a recent episode of reality TV series The Kardashians.

The moment came when the mother-of-four was talking about her eldest daughter North West, and her plans to give her original engagement ring to "Northy" as "she was with me when I got engaged".
