Kim Kardashian shares throwback photos from wedding to Kanye West but he doesn't feature in any of them

Kim Kardashian was in a reflective mood on the weekend as she posted throwback photos of her 2014 wedding to Kanye West. But the groom was conspicuously absent from all the shots she shared.

The 39-year-old reality star posted the Polaroid photos as part of a birthday tribute to her friend and fashion designer Riccardo Tisci, who designed the Givenchy gown. 

In the intimate snaps, Kim and Riccardo, who is now the creative director of Burberry, are seen backstage during six years ago for dress fittings ahead of her US $2.8 million (approx. $3.9 million) wedding in Florence, Italy.

The bride's gown alone cost a reported US$400,000 (approx. $562,000). 

During her stroll down memory lane, Kim also shared an image of a note her late father, Robert Kardashian, had written for her brother, Rob Kardashian.

Address to "my son", the letter quoted Proverbs 19:17 and read, "He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord and He will reward you for what you have done."

Kim's wedding throwbacks come days after she and Kanye, 43, had crisis talks in Wyoming following the rapper's onstage and online behaviour.

Not only did he reveal intimate past conversations during a presidential rally last month, but he shared on Twitter that he was ghosting his wife because he believed she wanted to lock him up in a treatment facility. Kanye suffers from bipolar disorder.

With their marriage under immense strain, Kim is reportedly "torn" as to how to proceed.

Their meeting at the Cody ranch ended in tears, with the star flying back to LA without Kanye. Now, while she cares for their four young children in LA, the rapper remains holed up in Wyoming.

"She isn't getting back what she needs from Kanye," an insider told People last week. "She was at the point that she flew to Cody to basically tell him their marriage is over and to say goodbye.

"He doesn't seem to get what she is saying. He hasn't changed anything that she told him needs to change. Kim is very torn. The last thing she wants is to be divorced with four kids. She knows that she will be fine financially, but her concerns are the kids and the partnership. She is moving towards a divorce, but who knows if she will actually sign papers."
