Kim Kardashian sobs over late father in never-before-seen footage from her 40th birthday getaway

Kim Kardashian has shared a video showing intimate moments from her recent 40th birthday bash.

Just weeks ago, the reality star flew her family and closest friends to an undisclosed island location to celebrate the occasion, and has since only shared select photos from the event.

But now in a new seven-minute-long video posted to Instagram, Kim has shared footage containing the unforgettable moments from their tropical getaway, which included swimming with whales, bike-riding in lush gardens and dancing under the stars.

And one particular never-before-seen moment took place between Kim and her husband, Kanye West, after he gifted her a hologram of her late father, Robert Kardashian.

Sat alongside her mother, Kris Jenner and sisters Kendall Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian, Kim sobbed as she saw her deceased dad larger-than-life on the big screen.

"Thank you for that," she told Kanye on the phone (the rapper would fly in and join the party days later). "Seriously, thank you."

Days after her October 21 birthday, Kim also expressed how important the gift was to her, which she received 17 years after Robert died from esophageal cancer, aged just 59.

"For my birthday, Kanye got me the most thoughtful gift of a lifetime. A special surprise from heaven. A hologram of my dad. It is so lifelike! We watched it over and over, filled with emotion," she tweeted.

"I can't even describe what this meant to me and my sisters, my brother, my mom and closest friends to experience together. Thank you so much Kanye for this memory that will last a lifetime."
