Kevin Bacon is 'super, super jealous' when it comes to his wife Kyra Sedgwick

Kevin Bacon says he's "super, super jealous" of his wife of 30 years, Kyra Sedgwick.

The 60-year-old was honouring his actress wife on Saturday at the Creative Coalition's Spotlight Initiative Awards.

"She got this whole boatload of awards and nominations. I know this because I was super, super jealous of that," he said of the 53-year-old. "I'm hoping that'll happen for me someday."

After accepting her award, Sedgwick thanked her husband and called him the love of her life.

Bacon and Sedgwick have been married since September 4, 1988. They first met on the set of the television adaptation of Lanford Wilson's play Lemon Sky.

In 1991, Bacon told Cosmopolitan, "The time I was hitting what I considered to be bottom was also the time I met my wife, our kids were born, good things were happening. And I was able to keep supporting myself; that always gave me strength."

They share two children: Travis, 29, and Sosie, 26. (Both are actors, and Sosie recently appeared on Seasons 1 and 2 of 13 Reasons Why.)

In 2011, during an appearance on the genealogy show Finding Your Roots, Bacon and Sedgwick learned they are ninth cousins, once removed.

While talking about their marriage in 2012, Sedgwick explained that chemistry is a huge bonus in their long marriage.

"Sex is really important. That desire is there," she told Redbook. "The essence of it hasn't really changed. When he walks into a room, I'm still... I mean, my heart gets a little fluttery and I think, 'Oh! He's so cute. He's so hot.' That's literally the first thing I think."
