Kendall Jenner reveals why she quit Instagram - and how the world shouldn't care

Kendall Jenner super-fans went into meltdown when the model and reality TV star quit Instagram two days ago.

 

Now, the 21-year-old bombshell has explained her exit in an inerview on Ellen – and she's shocked that people even cared.

 

"Why is this even this big of a deal?" she asked. "It's so crazy to me that this even became news like that."

 

Finally, a Kardashian-Jenner has asked the question we've been asking for years…why do we even care?

 

Kendall had more than 61 million followers worldwide, and with a following like that, you can maybe understand why a few people noticed.

 

Ellen DeGeneres, who was just as puzzled as Kendall, exclaimed: "I mean, like, shock! It was like huge news on CNN!"

 

Her reasons for leaving were completely valid, and one that may resonate with everyone, everywhere.

 

"I just wanted to detox," she explained to the host. ''I just wanted a little bit of a break. I'm always on [Instagram]."

 

Like many other users, Kendall would wake up in the morning and look at it first thing. She also explained it was the last thing she would do before going to sleep, adding that she "felt a little dependent on it".

 

After also deleting the Twitter app from her phone, she had no idea the fuss she had caused because she had become so switched off. Her family, always switched on, alerted her to the fact that she had caused quite the controversy.

 

"I honestly didn't think anybody would care," she said.

 

Even though it has literally been TWO days, Kendall did admit to having withdrawal symptoms – but she's ready to "engage in real life now". PHEW.

 

It's been a big week for the Kardashian-Jenner clan with the birth of Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna's daughter, Dream Renee.

 

Kendall touched on the new addition and how her brother is enjoying fatherhood.

 

"She's a dream, she's so beautiful!" she said. "He's so happy, it makes me so happy I could literally cry. It's like the cutest, I love it."

 

While Kendall has deleted the app from her life, it looks like her brand new niece may take the social media crown.

 

Dream's personal Instagram account already has 523k followers. What a time to be alive.
