Kendall Jenner caused quite the stir when she debuted a bold look at her BFF Lauren Perez's wedding in November.

The reality star and model, 26, swapped her bridesmaid dress for a daring black cut-out gown for the reception, a decision that triggered a swift backlash online.

Some critics accused Jenner of attempting to "upstage" the bride by wearing an "inappropriate" dress — however, it appears the bride didn't seem to mind at all.

After posting a series of snaps from her wedding day last week, Perez responded to a particularly nasty comment on Instagram.

"Inappropriate outfit at a wedding @kendalljenner I'm embarrassed for you," one person wrote, adding "#cringe."

"Clearly Kendall has to be half naked or no one pays attention to her," another wrote.

"If the bride herself doesn't gaf why do you care?" someone commented below, defending Jenner.

Perez quickly shut down the speculation with a blunt reply: "Tell em! SHE LOOKED STUNNING AND I LOVED IT!"

Jenner also threw in her two cents, commenting: "Obvi asked for your approval in advance too 🥰 we love a beach wedding."

Jenner, who was maid-of-honour at the November wedding, initially wore a pale blue Bec and Bridge strapless gown for the ceremony.

Model Bella Hadid was also bridesmaid, donning the same Australian-designed dress at first.

Both women opted to change into a second frock for the reception.
