Kelly Clarkson made her husband get a vasectomy: 'You are getting fixed!'

Kelly Clarkson isn't taking any reproductive chances.

The Grammy winner ordered husband Brandon Blackstock, 39, to get a vasectomy after she gave birth to their second child this April.

"I was literally pregnant with Remy, and I was like, 'You are getting fixed. This will never happen to me again'," the 34-year-old singer said on Sirius XM's The Jenny McCarthy Show.

"If something happens, it's a miracle of God. I literally told my OBGYN on the table while open, 'If I get pregnant again, I will find you!'"

While Kelly is now the proud mum of daughter River, 2, and son Remington, 5 months, her memories of both pregnancies are less than fond.

"It's horrible. Nothing is beautiful, nothing is magical," she said. "Whatever, you're that person that gets that pregnancy, good for you. But I will remind my children every day of their lives what I [went through]."

After a difficult experience carrying River, Kelly was sure that the second time around wouldn't be as bad.

"I was, like, hospitalised both pregnancies," she said on the show. "And then I thought, I wanted another little buddy [for River]. I didn't want a kid to just be an odd man out because I felt like that a lot. I wanted her to have somebody her age, like when we're travelling.

"And so I thought, 'OK, we'll just do it again.' I was like, 'There's no way it can happen again,' but it was worse. Remy's pregnancy was worse than River's."

Kelly also got real about the not-so-joys of breastfeeding.

"I actually pumped like crazy, like, 40 ounces a day, and then I just went dry on both pregnancies," she said. "For, like, three or four weeks straight, I was crazy. I was like, 'I'm a rock star!'"

But despite her difficulties, she is revelling in her life as a mum.

"It so cheesy, [but] I feel way more confident, way more empowered, way more like, 'I've got this!'" she told Entertainment Tonight. "I just feel like I can do anything. I feel like the head of a village."
