Katy Perry shares photos of 35th birthday in Egypt with Orlando Bloom

Age 35 is full of new experiences for Katy Perry!

The pop superstar has been ringing in the milestone birthday (she turned 35 on October 25) with her fiancé, actor Orlando Bloom, and friends in Egypt.

The 'Never Really Over' singer shared photos of herself and the 42-year-old Carnival Row star at the whimsical Egyptian Pyramids, and wrote a touching post to commemorate the experience.

"Ancient Egyptians believed that when you pass on your heart had to be weighed. It had to be lighter than a feather to be qualified for the trip to the afterlife. My mother has called me feather since I was a little girl and I hope after all is said and done my heart is as light as one. This is 35," she concluded.

He also shared a photo of the couple cuddling in front of a gorgeous vista behind them. 

Bloom popped the question to Perry on Valentine's Day in a helicopter above Los Angeles, and then surprised her with an intimate gathering with family and friends to celebrate.

On how they keep their long-distance relationship strong — juggling his busy filming schedule and her chart-topping recording career — Bloom told People earlier this year, "That's part of the job, right?" The Pirates of the Caribbean star continued, "You have to do the groundwork together, create the feeling of trust and safety so that you can spend time apart and do everything that you need to do and still feel tethered to that person, so that you can go on a journey together."
