Kathryn Crosby, Bing Crosby's widow and Anatomy of a Murder star, dies aged 90
Hollywood icon Kathryn Crosby, widow of fellow legend Bing Crosby, has died aged 90.
The actress died of natural causes in her home in Hillsborough, California, surrounded by her loved ones, as per The Sun and Variety.
With her husband Bing Crosby, she shared three children – Nathaniel, Harry, and Mary Frances Crosby, who starred in Dallas.

Kathryn was best known for her roles in The 7th Voyage of Sinbad and Anatomy of a Murder, and even appeared early on in her career in Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window.
She first made a name for herself as a teen in the beauty pageant scene in Texas, being names first runner-up in the state Miss Texas pageant which landed her Paramount studios contract, at age 20, beginning her career in 1953.
During her early career she worked both as an actress and a columnist writing about Hollywood for her hometown newspaper.
She first met Crosby on a Paramount studios parking lot, recalling in an interview with PBS that he had called out to her, "Hi Tex, what's your hurry?"
Kathryn decided to grasp the opportunity and ask him for an interview.
"You a reporter?", he asked, to which she replied "I'm a columnist".

Bing reportedly then said: "The dickens you are, I didn't know they came so pretty."
"He invited me for a cup of tea and we had tea and I looked into his big blue eyes and about 15 minutes later, I realised I was in love," she told PBS.
Bing was over thirty years older than her and had at the time just been widowed.

She later converted to Catholisicm and wed him in 1957. After marriage, she mostly stayed at home with the children, only making some appearances on screen.
Kathryn appeared as a guest star on his TV show - The Bing Crosby Show - between 1964 and 1965. She also appeared on his Merrie Olde Christmas specials and even hosted The Kathryn Crosby Show, a 30-minute talk show based in San Francisco, as well as a Minute Maid juice advertisement with their three children.
She starred in over 20 films in her career, including Operation Mad Ball, The Wild Party, Queen of the Lot, Cyrano de Bergerac, The Ford Television Theatre, and Touch of Spring.

After Bing's death in 1977 from a sudden heart attack from golfing with friends, Kathryn worked in a cabaret at that paid tribute to her late husband, expanding to other stage productions such as the 1996 Broadway revival of State Fair.
