Kate Beckinsale just revealed which celebrities smell REALLY good

Kate Beckinsale enjoys a good-smelling human.

The British actress has revealed her thoughts on the "three best smelling celebrities" by posting to Instagram and giving them a shout-out on Thursday.

"Here's some s--t I've been thinking about," she captioned what appears to be a topless selfie. "The three best smelling celebrities are [Russell Brand], [Khloe Kardashian] and [Common], in reverse order."

Kate, 43, went on to heap additional praise on her No. 1 pick, gushing, "I did not know a human being could smell as AMAZING as @common."

Rapper and producer Common's crowning glory comes as no surprise, really. After all, this is a man who's dated the likes of Erykah Badu, Kerry Washington and Taraji P. Henson. And they certainly don't seem the type to stick around for a smelly dude.  

The Underworld star followed up with a rather, er, random explanation for why Khloe was second place. She wrote, "James Joyce wouldn't go anywhere without a pair of doll's panties in his pocket". (Yep, we're just as confused as you).  

Indeed it could be said that Khloe, 32, would know her way around a scent. The reality television star had a unisex fragrance with ex-husband, Lamar Odom.

According to People, Khloe has long been obsessed with one particular perfume oil, the gardenia-scented, Kai. She said, "I’ve worn it forever! I put it on every day."

As for why Russell, 41, made the top three, we're not so sure. And Kate's explanation doesn't exactly clear things up.

Still, fans seemed slightly more occupied with her accompanying photo.

"1. Why are you not wearing clothes...2.what does common smell like? 3.what happened to your clothes?!?😍," commented one.

Kate's caption went on to detail the other random "s---" that's on her mind.

"It is as illegal to molest a squirrel in Minnesota as it is in Nevada for any member of the legislature to conduct official business in a penis costume WHILE THE LEGISLATURE IS IN SESSION," she wrote.

Uh huh. The mother-of-one then wrapped up proclaiming, "These things keep me up at night".
