Justin Bieber debuts new hairdo after controversial dreadlocks

Justin Bieber has debuted his new 'do!

The 'Holy' singer, 27, shared his dramatic new look via Instagram on May 23. In the post, Bieber showed off the shorter style in a sweet snap with his wife Hailey Bieber.

"Happy Sunday," the post was captioned.

Bieber later shared a black and white photo of himself to his Instagram Story.

His new look comes after the singer was accused of cultural appropriation and racial insensitivity after he debuted his hair with dreadlocks last month. On social media, some Black women called Bieber's hairstyle offensive and disrespectful and urged him to change it and apologise — Dreadlocks are traditionally connected to the culture and identities of Black people.

This isn't the first time Bieber has shaved his head. In 2018, the star made the drastic change after sporting longer hair. He's also undergone several hair transformations throughout his career, from the famous side-swept bangs to the slicked-back sides.
