Jocelyn Wildenstein's partner of more than 20 years opens up about her death: 'All my happiness is gone'

Two weeks on from his longtime partner Jocelyn Wildenstein's death, Lloyd Klein says all his "happiness is gone".

Wildenstein died on December 31 aged 84 in Paris after suffering a pulmonary embolism.

Wildenstein was nicknamed 'Catwoman' for her extensive cosmetic surgeries. She was also known for her high-profile divorce from billionaire Alec Wildenstein in the '90s.

"She was fabulous. She was the love of my life," Klein remembered his partner of more than 20 years in a a new interview with Page Six.

"I miss her every half second and I still think I'm in a nightmare right now."

Klein was in a relationship with Wildenstein since 2003 after meeting at one of his fashion shows.

The couple got engaged in 2017 after 14 years of dating.

"All my happiness is gone," Klein said.

He told the outlet Wildenstein "did not suffer, and she died in full glamour."

Wildenstein was previously married to billionaire Alec Wildenstein from 1978 to 1999.

They shared two children together, a daughter, Diane, and a son, Alec Jr.

The socialite became known for her cat-like appearance, repeatedly denying over the years she had undergone extensive cosmetic surgeries to achieve her look.

Klein recalled the star being able to laugh at her nickname: "It was nasty to call her Catwoman, but in the end we were laughing."

He remarked Wildenstein had "a sense of humour that was out of this world."

Klein suggested that with cosmetic surgeries becoming more popular in places like New York and Los Angeles, his partner was ahead of the curve with her appearance.

The French designer noted there's "a bunch of Jocelyns there, but maybe she was the first one doing what she did."

"Jocelyn doesn't deserve to be ridiculed," he added.

In the same interview, Klein denied reports the star was broke at the time of the death.

Last week, Klein shared a short clip to Instagram of him and Wildenstein sharing a kiss with Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars' song Die With A Smile in the background.

He captioned the video with a heartbroken emoji.

Klein was in Paris with Wildenstein when she died.
