Country music star Jelly Roll's six-word message to fans after private jet's emergency landing

Country music star Jelly Roll has shared an update with fans following a flight scare he and his wife had on their private jet over the weekend.

The Wild Ones singer – whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord – was on his way from California to Austin, Texas, with his wife Bunnie XO for the CMT Music Awards on Sunday (Monday in Australia), when their private jet was forced to make an emergency landing.

The jet had experienced technical issues mid-flight.

Despite the problems, they landed safely.

Bunnie – whose real name is Bunnie DeFord – shared a video on social media of the pilot explaining what happened.

"The plane just got turned around. They said it's an issue with the computer," Jelly Roll is heard saying on the video. "At least it wasn't the brakes!"

Bunnie XO later shared another video of their plane taking off for the second time, writing, "Let's try this again. Austin here we come!"

Jelly Roll was nominated at the CMT Music Awards for video of the year, male video of the year and CMT performance of the year for Need a Favour. He swept all three categories on Sunday night.

When asked about the travel emergency on the red carpet upon arriving at the event, Jelly Roll called it a "little baby scare."

"We're awesome, man," he told Entertainment Tonight. "It's all good."

After the event, Bunnie took to Instagram to congratulate her husband, writing to her 1.4 million followers: "My sweet husband the visionary. The maestro of misfits. You are not an overnight success story, this has been 20 years in the making."

"I've seen days where we thought no-one was listening to the music, & nights that turned into filled arenas. I've watched you pour your soul into a pen & write therapeutic hymns for the broken only for those hymns to pour straight into their hearts.

"Therapeutic music that kisses the cracks of their souls & even if just for that moment- they [know] they are understood & seen. Papabear your voice is an instrument of healing & the world is your choir."

"I LOVE YOU IN THIS LIFETIME & EVERY OTHER ONE IM LUCKY TO BE BY YOUR SIDE IN. 💫✨," she continued.

"Congratulations on another monumental achievement & shoutout to [CMT] for seeing the beauty in two underdogs & taking chances on us even when we weren't the stereotypical 'country' family.
