WATCH: Jared Leto surprises fans with daring bungee jumping entrance to kick off festival performance

Jared Leto, 51, has made quite the entrance at a recent festival performance.

The actor kicked off his band's appearance over the weekend at the Austin City Limits Festival in Texas by bungee jumping onto the stage from above.

Leto shared a video to his Instagram account, showing an overhead view of the Morbius actor making his dramatic entrance to join his band Thirty Seconds to Mars on stage.

"Would you do this? 😎 @aclfestival 🚀" the daredevil captioned the clip.

Many took to the comments to chime in on the Oscar-winning actor's daring stunt, likening the actor to a "super hero".

"Omgosh!! Please be careful!!" one person said.

"The Best Entrance EVER! ♥️" another said.

"You're completely brave and insane for this," a third commented.

"You are totally crazy and we love you for this," one person wrote.

This isn't the first time Leto has bungee jumped onto the stage at the beginning of his band's performance.

Leto opened the first weekend of the ACL festival with the same show-stopping act, jumping from above to surprise the crowd.

It's also commonplace for Leto to make headlines for performing some insane and daring stunts.

Just last month, the Suicide Squad actor was spotted free-climbing a hotel wall in Berlin.

The star shared a video of the moment he climbed the 'Hotel de Rome' wall in slides to his Instagram account, captioning the post with a series of monkey emojis: "🐒🐒🐒🙈"

Leto had previously scaled the same hotel building in June and had done a similar stunt outside a hotel in Paris that some month.

While the actor only made it a few feet up the wall without a harness, the spectacle was enough to capture the attention of fans and onlookers.

That doesn't mean his daredevil antics haven't gotten him into hot water before.

The Hollywood star, who has been an avid rock climber for years, has previously spoken about his near death experience in 2017 following an incident at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area in Las Vegas.

In 2022, Leto spoke to Men's Health, recalling his "acceptance, and a little bit of sadness" after noticing his rope began to tear while climbing.

Leto first spoke about the accident in 2020, sharing his near-death experience to fans on social media.

"It was a strange moment — less fear, more matter of fact, and slightly melancholy. The adrenaline came after, when I got back on the wall," he wrote at the time.
