'It' star Jack Dylan Grazer, 14, apologises after video leaks of him smoking marijuana

Jack Dylan Grazer just learnt a very hard lesson.

The 14-year-old, who got his breakout role as Eddie Kaspbrak in the big-screen remake of Stephen King's It last year, apologised after a video leaked showing the young star smoking a marijuana cigarette.

In a now-deleted clip posted to Instagram, Grazer appeared remorseful as he attempted to explain his mistake, telling his 2.2 million followers that his actions were the result of peer pressure.  

"Hi everybody," the teenager, dressed in a flannelette shirt, began. "I just would like to clear up some past mistakes that I've made.

"It was a dumb thing that I did due to peer pressure at school. And I’ve now realised that vaping and smoking pot is stupid, and it’s not cool and it’s not worth it."

The actor -- who also appeared in the television series, Me, Myself, and I -- is the nephew of award-winning producer Brian Grazer, whose work on 2001's A Beautiful Mind earned him an Oscar for Best Picture.   

"I have learned my lesson and I've learned it the hard way," Jack continued in the apology video. "Please don’t make the same mistakes that I did," he urged his followers.

He added: "If you feel peer pressured or bullied, get help."

Finally, he thanked his fans for the "continued loved and support" and expressed his desire to put the mishap behind him.

"The past is the past. It doesn't define me," he captioned the post. "Living true to myself and being real is what it's about."
