Isla Fisher put Amy Adams' face on her family Christmas card and no-one noticed

Isla Fisher is aware that everyone thinks she looks just like fellow red-headed actress Amy Adams.

So aware that one year she and husband Sacha Baron Cohen decided to pull off an epic family Christmas card prank in which they subbed in Isla's Nocturnal Animals co-star as their matriarch.

"I cut-and-pasted Amy Adams' face over mine," Isla told America's TODAY. "So it was Sacha, Amy, and the kids, and then we said 'Seasons greetings from Sacha and Isla.'"

Only problem? Their friends and family couldn't even tell the two ladies apart.

"No one noticed," 40-year-old Isla said. "Everyone was like, 'Oh, your card was so cute!' I was like, 'It was a joke, it's not me, it's Amy!'"

Meanwhile, Amy has said she doesn't understand all the fuss.

"I know Isla, and for a while our kids went to the same dance school," Amy, 42, told Vanity Fair in 2014.

"When I'm with Isla, we both look at one another and say, 'I get it but I don't get it'. But just like I tell her, it could be a lot worse. I could be mistaken for a lot worse people.'"
