Hugh Jackman spotted for the first time since Deborra-lee Furness divorce as he meets up with fellow Aussie star

Hugh Jackman has been seen out and about for the first time since his divorce from his long-time wife Deborra-lee Furness.

The pair, who split back in 2023, recently made headlines when Furness officially filed for divorce from the Australian actor and broke her silence on the marriage breakdown.

As Furness expressed her "traumatic journey of betrayal", Jackman mostly remained under the radar until now.

The Hollywood heavyweight was spotted in New York with a fellow Australian star, Andy Lee.

Jackman shared a photo of them together to his Instagram after making a visit to the comedian's new Aussie pub Old Mates.

In another photo, Jackman posed with Lee and Lee's business partner Eddy Buckingham behind the bar.

Lee opened the Aussie-themed pub in February, and it has been a hit among Aussies in New York since it's opening night.

It seems Jackman wanted to see what all the fuss was about and was thrilled with the slice of Australia in New York .

"Old Mates – how Aussies eat in NYC," he captioned the post.

"This pub is amazing."

Jackman's casual visit to the Aussie establishment comes just days after Furness broke her the official end of their almost three decade marriage.

In a statement shared with Nine, Furness said: "My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal.

"It's a profound wound that cuts deep, however I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us."

She went on to say she has found "liberation and freedom" post-split and is "grateful" for her life path.

"It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values and boundaries is liberation and freedom," she said.

"One thing I have learned is that none of this is personal, we are all on our individual journeys and I believe that the relationships in our lives are not random."

DailyMail.com first reported the news that Furness had officially filed for divorce from Jackman, after they announced their split in September 2023.

At the time of their split, the pair shared a statement with People that read in part: "We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage.

"Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth."

They added that their "family has been and always will be our highest priority".

Since the split, Jackman is believed to be dating American actress and Younger star Sutton Foster, 50.

Jackman is yet to comment on the divorce.
