Hugh Grant welcomes fifth child, ex Elizabeth Hurley reveals

Hugh Grant is a father for the fifth time, his ex-girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley has revealed.

Appearing on 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen' to promote the new season of her drama 'Royals', the model-turned-actress was asked if she was surprised her ex-boyfriend had gone on to have so many children.

"He had another one last week. He has five," she confirmed, adding: "He was over 50 when he spawned them all."

"He's an enchanting dad. Really, really sweet. Having these kids has transformed him from a very miserable person into a fairly miserable person.

"It's an improvement. He's gone up the scale."

Hugh and Liz are famously the best of friends, almost 20 years after their split.

It's the 57-year-old British actor's third child with girlfriend Anna Eberstein, with the couple beaming for the cameras at the BAFTAs in London last month.

News of her pregnancy first came to light in January when Eberstein’s mother Susanne reportedly told Swedish magazine Aftonbladet: "I’m very happy to be getting another grandchild. She’s due rather soon". 

This comes after TV producer Eberstein, 35, was photographed with her baby bump showing through her coat as she walked with Grant through a New York City airport on Tuesday.

The couple made a fashionable appearance at Monday's Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles, with Eberstein keeping her growing bump covered in a loose black t-shirt, fitted blazer, and slim leather pants.

The baby will be the Paddington 2 star's third child with Eberstein. They are already parents to son John Mungo, five, and a two-year-old daughter.

Doting on grandson John, Susanne reportedly told Aftonbladet in a January 2014 e-mail: "It is a wonderful little cute grandchild boy I have got. I already had a grandchild since earlier, and it’s such fun to have another one."

Grant shares daughter Tabitha Xaio Xi, six, and son Felix Chang, five, with ex Tinglan Hong.

And it appears the romantic comedy legend has a great sense of humour about fatherhood. He told People in February 2015: "What has surprised me most is, I think, how enchanting I am as a father. I break my own heart, I’m so nice."
