Heather Locklear ordered to treatment programme for attacking first responders at her home
(CNN) -- Actress Heather Locklear pleaded no contest to multiple charges of battery on law enforcement personnel who responded to domestic disturbance calls at her home last year.

The 57-year-old Melrose Place star faced eight misdemeanour counts: five counts of battery on a peace officer, one count of battery on emergency personnel and two counts of resisting, obstructing or delaying a peace officer, the Ventura County District Attorney's Office said in a statement Friday.

Locklear was sentenced to 120 days in jail, but she will only serve the time if she doesn't complete a residential treatment programme, the statement said. She was also placed on three years summary probation.
