'I'm going to third-wheel this proposal': Harry Styles helps fan pop the question at Melbourne show

Harry Styles may be having a good old time on tour in Australia doing shoeys, rocking Bunnings hats and singing our unofficial national anthem, Horses, for many delighted fans, but there have also been some tender moments on stage.

At the singer's Melbourne show at the weekend, Styles took some time off his set to help a fan propose.

After spotting a female fan named Connie holding up her phone, the former One Direction star was intrigued and greeted her and her boyfriend, Steven, who was standing close by.

"Steven seems like the nicest man in the world. I don't know him. I know nothing about him. He could be awful. But he seems nice," Styles told the crowd before asking the couple: "You're nice, aren't you, Steven? Is he nice, Connie?"

Styles then read out the note Connie had written on her phone: "Make my boyfriend propose."

"I feel like I need to ask Steven how he feels about this," the singer laughed. "How do you feel, Steven? Do you feel pretty good, do you want the microphone?"

"I'm going to third-wheel this proposal," he added before passing the mic to Steven.

The nervous fan didn't hesitate to pop the big question.

"I just wanted to say how good Harry Styles is. I love you so much, man. But there's someone I love more," Steven said before turning to Connie. "You're the love of my life. Will you marry me?"

The crowd erupted in cheers when Connie said yes, but there was no one more excited than the former One Direction singer himself.

"It's a family show, it's a family show. Or is it? Congratulations to Steven, but you didn't have much of a choice," Styles joked.

Connie later shared the moment in a series of clips posted to TikTok, which she captioned by giving thanks to Styles for being part of the special occasion.

"THIS IS THE BEST NIGHT OF OUR LIVE @Stevie Filip thankyou #harrystyles and thankyou for allllll the love," she captioned one clip, while writing alongside another: "PART 2!!! I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS IS REAL!! OUR MOST SPECIAL NIGHT @Stevie Filip THANK U #harrystyles."
