Hailey Baldwin opens up about her 'insecurities' in candid Instagram post

She was the envy of many girls when she became Justin Bieber's wife last year, but Hailey Baldwin has revealed that she too suffers from "insecurities."

In a raw Instagram post, the model confessed that her life may appear polished on social media but it's far from it.

"I'm a 22 years old, and the truth is no matter how amazing life may look from the outside I struggle," she wrote in a candid post. "I'm insecure, I'm fragile, I'm hurting, I have fears, I have doubts, I have anxiety, I get sad, I get angry."

And although she's graced the pages of Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and ELLE, Baldwin said that she can't help but compare herself to other women on social media.

"I have had more days than I can count where I've found myself scrolling through Instagram comparing myself, comparing my looks, feeling like I'm not good enough feeling like I lack so many things and really struggling to be confident in who I am because I constantly feel like I'm just not good enough," she admitted. "Every single day is a confidence battle for me."

Even when she does try to distance herself from it completely, in her line of work it's just not possible.

"It's hard finding who you are, but what's even harder is being picked apart and compared to other women while trying to do that," she said. "There are days that I'm simply broken because of it."

Although Baldwin insisted she wasn't "writing this for a pity party or for sympathy," many of her celebrity friends such as pop star Bebe Rexha, actress Millie Bobby Brown and model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley showered her with love on Instagram.

But it was the support that she received from her husband that Baldwin likely cherished the most.

"This is beautiful hun," the 24-year commented on the post.

Just last month, Baldwin -- who has spoken about her battles with anxiety and depression in the past -- admitted she has been taking mini "breaks" from social media for the sake of her mental health.

"It's hard to focus on your well being and mental health when each time you open Instagram someone is tearing apart your job, or your relationship or essentially any of the things in your life that are positive," she wrote on Instagram Stories.
