Guy Sebastian gets candid about fatherhood: 'It's definitely softened me'

For Guy Sebastian, life is a little "manic" at the moment.

Knocking back "five coffees a night" to stay awake, 32-year-old Guy's been busy with new single 'Come Home With Me' and a 2015 Madness Tour announcement… all while playing dad to super-cute tot's Hudson and Archer.

Despite all the madness, Guy says it's his kids who push him to succeed. "I don’t want to be a dropkick dad," he exclusively told TheFIX. "I want to be the best dad I can be! I actually pine for my kids when I'm away because I miss them so much."

He added: "Being a dad has definitely softened me. It's helped me put loads into perspective and made me re-consider things I hadn’t before. Especially now with the current state of the world, I empathise because I don’t know how these people get through."

With Archer the latest addition to the Sebastian family, Guy says he and wife Jules were surprised at his reaction to the new-born bub: "He's been really good! We were so concerned he would get jealous because he gets loads of attention from us… but he's gold. And he's been very gentle with Archie and surprisingly loving."

Hopefully Hudson will keep up the good behaviour… because Guy's got a stadium tour to plan!

"I'm a little nervous when I do shows," he said. "But ticket sales are out of my control. The only thing I can control is the kind of show I can deliver."

And if money was no issue, the kind of show Guy would deliver would be full of "fireworks, pyrotechnics and acrobats like a Beyoncé/Justin Timberlake-type show… complete with mini-movies!"

"I'd also have JLo and Beyonce as my two dancers," Guy added. "Then again, how would I concentrate and sing?"

No chance, Guy.
