Guns N' Roses booed after confusing Melbourne with Sydney

Rock 'n roll veterans Guns N' Roses were booed by fans when their 'Not In This Lifetime' tour stopped down in Melbourne Monday night after they mistakenly addressed the crowd as Sydney.

"Sydney, you wanted the best? Well, they're stuck in traffic. So here's what you get. From Hollywood, Guns N' Roses," their longtime guitar technician McBob, howled over the loudspeakers.

The blunder was followed by a chorus of boos from the crowd of 70,000, and, to add insult to injury, the band was an hour late. After launching through their hits, including 'Welcome to the Jungle' and 'Sweet Child 'O Mine', the band took to Twitter to make amends.

"Melbourne! Accidentally after 30 years McBob made an error, we're truly sorry. Thank you for coming out tonight!" read a message from the official Guns 'N Roses handle.
