The Gilmore Girls revival trailer is here to make your week 100x better
Curl up with a cup of coffee and some Pop-Tarts: The Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life trailer is finally here!
The marketing campaign for Netflix's revival series has been working overtime in the lead up to its November 25 release. But forget the Luke's Diner pop-ups and random ice-cream gimmicks. The official trailer delivers all the goods your Gilmore Girls-loving heart has been aching for and more.
In addition to giving us our first real look at Lorelai and Rory's lives nine years after the series ended, the 2:26 clip revisits a ton of our favourite Stars Hollow places and characters, including Sookie, Kirk, and a still-brooding Jess.
Tiny spoilers abound, including the mourning of Richard Gilmore (actor EdwardHermann passed away from brain cancer in 2014), the reveal that Rory has been living a "vagabond" existence, and the possibility that Lorelai and Luke's relationship is on the rocks.
The most shocking moment of the trailer comes when prim and proper Emily Gilmore wears ripped jeans and a Candies t-shirt as she tries to pick up the pieces after Richard's death.
One popular theory still not confirmed: that rumoured pregnancy. Conspiratorial fans are convinced that Netflix has been dropping veiled clues that either Rory or Lorelai is expecting a baby.
But based on the clip with no bump or baby in sight, fans will have to wait until the four new 90-minute episodes (seasonally titled 'Winter', 'Spring', 'Summer', and 'Fall') drop to find out.
