George Michael's ex is selling the late singer's belongings to pay off debts: 'No I won't get a job'
George Michael’s ex Fadi Fawaz says he's "done with being respectful" and has decided to sell the late singer’s belongings.
In a shocking Twitter rant, the 44-year-old hair stylist revealed that he could no longer afford to lead an extravagant lifestyle -- despite still living rent-free in Michael’s North London home -- so has decided to offload the singer’s prized possessions for cash.
"It’s a way so I can survive till we solve the problems with his family and lawyer," says Fawaz, who is currently locked in a legal battle with Michael’s family over the singer’s will. "Since I’m left with no help and since no one is human anymore."
And despite saying he "won't get a job", Fawaz is hoping to do a paid media interview.
"I’m willing to sell any story as well If you wanna interview me you know where to find me," he says.
News of the sale comes after Fawaz tweeted a photo of an enforcement notice that said he owed $946 AUD.
"Darling they have come to take your furniture [because] I couldn’t [afford] the fine," he tweeted on April 6, appearing to talk to Michael. “But don’t worry I didn’t open the door for them.”
The Austrian-born stylist dated Michael for five years in the lead up to his death in 2016, though many of the singer's family members insist the pair actually split in 2015.
