Geoffrey Edelsten calls Brynne a 'gold digger' ahead of their divorce

Geoffrey Edelsten has labelled his estranged wife Brynne Gordon a gold digger as he fights for his assets in court.

The 71-year-old businessman vented his frustrations as Brynne, 31, attended his bankruptcy court hearing on Friday as a potential creditor ahead of their divorce.

"Brynne is the biggest example of a gold digger I have ever seen," he told Herald Sun. "She must have been disappointed with events."

Geoffrey's insults toward his ex came after his creditors in the US argued his bankruptcy case should be heard as a foreign proceeding.

This means that creditors would be able to pursue his assets back home in Australia.

So now Brynne is among a list of creditors around the world who could recover up to $50 million worth of debts from the businessman.

The reality TV star is reportedly claiming up to $10 million of that debt.

"That she was that desperate to call on that form of debt collection is distasteful," Geoffrey said.
