Claire Knight | Presented by Stan

If you've ever watched a movie or TV show and thought, "Wow, that actor is really, really, ridiculously good-looking," chances are, it was their good looks that got them started in the biz.

Modelling is, at the end of the day, an act itself.

Below, we check out some big-time stars who began in the fashion world and graduated to the big screen.

Cara Delevingne

At the height of her fame as the 2010's It girl, British supermodel Cara Delevingne made the risky switch to acting, and it's paid off.

From indie flicks to big budget blockbusters, the 26-year-old has appeared in over 20 movies and isn't slowing down.

She's currently starring alongside fellow model-actress Alma Jodorowsky in Kids in Love, streaming on Stan.

Ashton Kutcher

Before he was a TV and film star, not to mention tech entrepreneur, Ashton Kutcher made a living flaunting his boyish good looks on catwalks, magazines and ads.

He signed with Next modelling agency in New York in 1998, and appeared in commercials for Calvin Klein, also modelling in Paris and Milan.

The daughter of Russian actress Galina Loginova, Milla Jovovich was raised to be a movie star. Her mother enrolled her in acting classes as a child, and even sent her to a performing arts school instead of a regular school. However, it was modelling that initially took off for the Ukrainian-born star.

She's graced the covers of more than 100 magazines, and modelled in campaigns for Banana Republic, Christian Dior, Damiani, Donna Karan, Gap, Versace, Calvin Klein, DKNY, Coach, Giorgio Armani, H&M, and Revlon.

See her flex her acting chops in the ultimate model movie, Zoolander, streaming on Stan.
