Emma Watson's phone goes off mid-interview, Harry Potter star embarrassed by raunchy '80s ringtone
Emma Watson had a pretty mortifying moment during her interview with Lorraine host Mark Heyes.
No painful questions were asked, no cringe-worthy answers were given. It was worse - the 26-year-old Harry Potter star's phone went off mid-chat.
Big deal, right? It could happen to anyone. Well, it wasn't so much the fact that she'd forgotten to turn off her phone while talking about her role as Belle in the upcoming live-action Beauty and the Beast movie.
It was her ringtone. It was a Tina Turner song...and not 'What's Love Got to Do With It' or 'Better Be Good to Me'. Those female-empowerment anthems are perfectly in sync with Emma's feminist stance.
It was 'Steamy Windows', a 1989 Tina single about getting it on...in a car. Yikes, right?
"That is so embarrassing!" she said. "That is my phone. That is Tina Turner."
Though the actress was horrified, Mark certainly didn't mind. He called it "the best ringtone I've ever heard".
Phew! What a relief.
"Well, I'm glad that I'm forgiven, because it was Tina Turner," Emma said. "Otherwise that would have been terrible. I'm so sorry!"
No worries, Emma. And we agree with Mark. Great song choice.
