Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are back on a month after breaking up

Nothing lasts forever, and that apparently would include Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield's recent break-up.

The two were spotted grocery shopping in Malibu this weekend looking very much like a couple. It's the first time the two have been seen together since January.

Although one source toldUs Weekly last month that Emma, 26, and Andrew, 31, were "finished…it's not just a break", another now tells People magazine differently.

"Emma and Andrew are a great couple who have been apart for work," the insider says. "They are still seeing each other.

"Nothing major happened between them while he was away other than a long and forced separation. Andrew has been incredibly busy and so has Emma. But the sparks are still there."

If they are, they weren't visible during the shopping trip. Both actors were wearing dark sunglasses, but their facial expressions weren't exactly overflowing with sunshine and joy.

Maybe they were just exhausted. Emma has been in Cannes for the premiere of her Woody Allen film Irrational Man, while Andrew has been taking method acting to the extreme while filming Martin Scorcese's Silence in Taiwan.

"He'd been in a dark place for months, getting into his role," the Us Weekly source added. "He wasn't being the best partner."

Unless they're exes who just happen to share a refrigerator, it appears all that darkness is behind them…for now.
