Dr. Phil stirs controversy by claiming Bruce Jenner is too old for sex change: 'You're almost 80, what's the point?'

Dr. Phil is better known for his blunt honesty than his sense of humour, but that didn't stop him from making a joke at Bruce Jenner's expense.

The talk show host discussed the Olympian-turned-reality star's upcoming transition on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and offered a dose of his trademark candor.

"You're almost 80," Phil said. "What's the point?"

The audience laughed, but Phil's comments haven't been so well received on social media, where some questioned the message he was sending.
