Russell Crowe scolds cry-baby Ryan Gosling, reunites with LA Confidential lover Kim Basinger in The Nice Guys
After playing Biblical Noah and a water diviner, Russell Crowe has returned to his butt-kicking bad-boy ways…onscreen, of course.
And he's got Ryan Gosling along for the ride – only his 35-year-old co-star isn't necessarily so keen. In one of the best scenes in the new trailer for their upcoming move The Nice Guys, Russell, 50, scolds Ryan's character for crying like a baby.
"Hey, can you behave like a professional," he admonishes.
Elsewhere, Russell reunites with Kim Basinger, his love interest 20 years ago in LA Confidential, and he does lots of other badass stuff, like visiting a strip club, slamming a bartender's head into a bar and generally kicking butt.
Look out, Russell and Ryan, it's Magic Mike's Matthew Bomer with a gun!
In the upcoming crime action-drama, set in 1970s LA, Ryan's private eye and Russell's enforcer uncover a conspiracy while teaming up to track down a missing girl. Kim, by the way, plays her mum.
The Nice Guy opens in Australia on May 26.
