Jada Pinkett-Smith confesses near-romance with Tupac Shakur: 'It had to be the most disgusting kiss for us both'
They say everything happens for a reason, and Jada Pinkett-Smith's near-romantic miss in the '90s paved the way for Willow and Jaden Smith.
Will Smith's wife of 18 years told Howard Stern about the time she and the late rapper Tupac Shakur almost went from friends to lovers. It started with a kiss…
"There was a time when I was like, 'Just kiss me!'" Jada, 43, said. "Let's just see how this goes'. And when I tell you it had to be the most disgusting kiss for us both.
"The only way I can put it is, the higher power just did not want that."
Will Smith, 46, and their two teenage kids are probably pretty thrilled that the higher power got its way. Tupac ended up being killed in a drive-by shooting in 1996, and his untimely end aside, Jada has no regrets about how things turned out.
"If Pac and I had any kind of sexual chemistry, we might have killed each other because we were both so passionate," Jada added. "And you know, we loved deeply. It was hard enough with us just being friends. It was a volatile relationship."
Let's hope there's a little less fire and a lot more heat in Jada and Will's marriage.
Judging from the clip below, we have a feeling there is...even if a third party is occasionally involved!
