Ring the alarm! Courtney Stodden's hair catches fire during a bizarre séance ritual

Courtney Stodden's non-fans have probably been praying for her stardom to go up in flames for years, but surely they weren't hoping for it to go down like this.

The 21-year-old social media queen was doing what appears to be some sort of séance with a purple-fringed psychic when her blonde mane got a little too close to a burning candle.

Poof! Her hair went up in flames.

Don't worry, there was no harm done. Courtney and her coif escaped unharmed, and she went on to post the ritual-gone-wrong on Periscope, Twitter and Instagram, joking about the fiery episode.

"Yes Michael Jackson was there and my hair caught fire for a reason ... A sign from the king of pop. I feel honored," she wrote on Twitter.

She made another MJ mention in her Instagram caption: "Ok so during a seance to contact Michael Jackson, my hair went up in flames. I feel MJ had my curls catch fire as a sign he was there. His hair caught fire while filming a Pepsi commercial🔥".

For those who weren't around in the '80s, Michael Jackson's hair famously caught fire during a Pepsi commercial shoot in 1984, though the damage done was considerably worse than Courtney's few seconds of panic.

Hmm...If she wanted to have a true King of Pop moment, wouldn't it have been safer to just moonwalk instead?
