'Bachelor' host defends Richie Strahan after body odour claims: 'Never once did I detect the faintest hint of pong'

Bachelor B.O.? Not so, says Osher Günsberg! In a new interview with Who, The Bachelor host, 42, refuted reports that many of season four's contestants found leading man Richie Strahan's natural aroma to be less than rosy.

"I've worked with Richie for six months now, through the heat of summer and some incredibly sweaty circumstances," said Osher of Sam Frost's second runner-up . "Never once did I detect the faintest hint of pong. "

While an insider previously told New Idea that Richie, 32, "has a bit of a body odour issue" that "was noticeable and was certainly a mood killer as far as romance goes," Osher insists that was simply not the case.

"The only thing that stinks is the intentions of whoever spread that rumour," said Osher, who's engaged to makeup artist Audrey Griffen, 35.

And how does Richie think he performed this time around?

"It has been an unreal, wild rollercoaster ride," the Perth native told OK! "But I'm really happy with how it worked out…. I'm a natural [in front of the cameras now], coming in sideways, easy-peasy, lemon-squeezy."

Still, the reality show isn't quite the OTT experience hit drama UnReal (available now on Stan) makes it seem.

"I would say UnReal is to The Bachelor as The Matrix is to a fight you see in a nightclub,"Osher told Who. "There's cameras. There's punches. But one is amped up to a gajillion times bigger than reality to make you go, 'Whoa.' It's a fantasy."

The Bachelor premieres July 27 on Network 10.
