Radio host Fifi Box on antibiotics after being bitten by a spider while in bed
Radio host Fifi Box has revealed she was recently bitten by a spider.
The 44-year-old star shared details of her ordeal on social media while revealing she was now on a course of antibiotics.
"I've been bitten by something on my leg that doctors assume is a spider," she explained in a note posted to Instagram. "I'd love to hear if anyone knows what might have bitten me. Swipe to have a look (sorry it's a bit gross!)."

Box shared photos of the spider bite, which looked to be surrounded by a large rash.
"Anyone had a spider bite like this?" she added in her caption. "I think it got me in bed but I didn't see it. It's sooooooo sore. I'm on antibiotics but just curious as to what might have gotten me 😱🕷."
While it's not known what type of spider bit the radio host, fans wondered if it was a white-tailed spider bite, which is non-life-threatening and appears red with swelling — as Kate Ceberano can attest.

"I just got bitten by a whitetail…in bed too!!!! And it looked just like that!!! Ouch," the Aussie singer commented on Instagram.
Meanwhile, her Fifi, Fev & Nick co-host Brendan Fevola believes it wasn't from a spider at all.
"Looks like a nasty mozzie bite, maybe get some Stingose," he said, referring to a treatment gel for stings and bites.
