Symptoms can include feeling irritable, fatigue, slight tremors, weight loss and more.
"Autoimmune disease manifests differently in everybody/every body," Moriarty wrote, noting that people have different experiences.
"One thing I can say: if I hadn't chalked it all up to stress and fatigue, I would've caught this sooner."
Moriarty said that within 24 hours of receiving treatment after her Graves' disease diagnosis, she "felt the light coming back on".

Star Wars actress Daisy Ridley was diagnosed in September 2023.
Her diagnosis came after noticing symptoms while filming a movie.
She'd lost weight, felt fatigued and developed hand tremors and a racing heart rate.
"I thought, 'Well, I've just played a really stressful role; presumably that's why I feel poorly'," she revealed in a 2024 interview with Women's Health.
