Emma McKeon shares sweet birthday tribute to Cody Simpson: 'Always making me smile'

Swimmer Emma McKeon has shared a sweet tribute to boyfriend of almost two years, Cody Simpson, as he turns 27.

McKeon, 29, said the singer turned swimmer is "always making her smile" in a post shared on her public Instagram account.

"Happy birthday @codysimpson ❤️," her post began.

In her post, the pair pose for a loved-up selfie and Cody can be seen in other pictures cooking in the kitchen and even dancing in a series of fun clips.

Simpson commented love heart emojis underneath.

"You guys," Cody's sister Alli Simpson added.

The couple have been dating since 2022 and will be celebrating their second anniversary later this year.

Simpson went Instagram official with their romance by sharing photos holding hands with the 11-time Olympic medallist in Barcelona.

"A brief rendezvous in Barcelona with my love," he captioned the series of sweet snaps.

Last year, the smitten couple also reportedly purchased a $1.8 million mansion together on the Gold Coast.

McKeon, her 'ex' Kyle Chalmers and Simpson were all claimed to be part of a 'love triangle' previously.

Rumours suggested a rift emerged between Chalmers and Simpson and McKeon after the latter pair confirmed their relationship in 2022. Chalmers and McKeon were previously romantically linked.

However, all rumours of a 'love triangle' drama in the Dolphins team were blasted by Chalmers in a post-race press conference.

"It's all just false news that's actually crap," he said.

"It's a load of s--t that's not true. It's words getting put in mouths and you wanting to make a story out of nothing."

He is now dating Norwegian swimmer Ingeborg Løyning.
