While fans of Sir Elton John may have had their hopes dashed of seeing him in their city, it may not mean they will never see him on stage again.

The legendary singer confirmed in his new book, Farewell Yellow Brick Road: Memories Of My Life on Tour, that his fans will see him again.

"I've been clear with my fans that while the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour is the culmination of my touring career, I still plan to perform live," he wrote.

"What this will entail I don't know yet."

The 77-year-old recently revealed he has quietly been battling a serious infection

The Rocket Man singer opened up about his health in a statement shared to his 4.9 million Instagram followers three weeks ago, where he revealed he's been "dealing with a severe eye infection" over the American summer.

"That has unfortunately left me with only limited vision in one eye," John wrote in his statement.

"I am healing, but it's an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye," the EGOT status holder continued.

He signed off the message, "with love and gratitude".

The Bennie and the Jets singer held his final Farewell Yellow Brick Road show in Sweden in July 2023 after touring for 50 years.
