EastEnders actress Jessie Wallace left shocked after allegedly witnessing shopper mugged for toilet paper

The toilet paper shortage isn't just occurring here in Australia. The folk across the pond in the UK are also experiencing a toilet paper crisis, no thanks to COVID-19. 

British actress Jessie Wallace was left shocked after she claimed to have witnessed a shopper being mugged for toilet paper at her local supermarket in North London on March 16.

"This is getting so crazy now! Someone got mugged for their toilet paper outside Waitrose in Muswell hill! WTF!!!!" tweeted Wallace, who plays Kat Slater in the long-running British soap, EastEnders.

Like many in Australia and across the globe, Wallace has altered her day-to-day life to reflect the coronavirus crisis. During one outing, the 48-year-old actress made sure to stock some anti-bacterial wipes in her bag. 

"Clutch bag for this evening," she joked while holding Dettol wipes in an Instagram photo. 

Then before heading to the gym on March 16, Wallace rocked a pimped out facemask, which featured hand-painted red lips on the white canvas.

"Just left with my custom made anti coronavirus gear from @pegasusart off to the gym in style," she captioned the photo.

Another celebrity who doesn't understand the panic-buying surrounding toilet paper is Iggy Azalea.

The Aussie rapper outed her mother earlier this month after discovering she had been stockpiling toilet rolls. 

"Never been embarrassed to be related to anyone until today when I found out my mother is one of the Australians bulk buying toilet paper," Azalea tweeted on March 3. "White people love to bulk buy for the apocalypse."

Azalea took to Twitter again this past weekend after realising her mum has once again been hoarding supplies amid the coronavirus pandemic. 

"I will not stop trying to get my mother to admit panic buying is stupid UNLESS she eats all her canned fish and uses alllllllll her toilet tissue," she tweeted on March 13. "Use ALLLLLL your dettol girl… or Admit defeat."
