Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson leaves employees 'noticeably shaken' after shock visit

Dwayne Johnson, 51, has left a Florida gym staff in shock after he popped in to do a quick workout session.

The former wrestler had reportedly just been on a long-haul flight when he decided to head straight to the Equinox Luxury Fitness Club in Aventura. 

'The Rock' apparently showed up 30 minutes before the gym closed, leaving the staff starstruck at their celebrity visitor.

Johnson and the two others he was with had apparently bypassed the check-in in a rush to get started on their workout.

"The front desk team was noticeably shaken by the visitors, and had to address them," a source told Page Six. 

As they approached the Black Adam star to ask him to check-in, one of the staff members was overheard saying "but he's so big".

Johnson apologised to the staff, explaining that he had just been on a long flight and 'really had to get a good workout in'. 

The staff got proof of the celebrity encounter later as Johnson posed for selfies with the team after he checked-in. 

This isn't the only time the pro-wrester has turned up in unexpected places.

The Red Notice actor has shared some sweet moments surprising his fans in the past.

Just last month, Johnson posted a video on Instagram sharing that he had surprised a young fan at lunch.

'The Rock' showed up to be 12-year-old Luna Perrone's waiter after learning that the bone cancer she had long been battling had spread.

"Her name is Luna, I have been following her. She is my biggest fan. I am her biggest fan. We have never met," he wrote.

Perrone shared in her own Instagram post that the surprises didn't stop there.

"THE ROCK sent me and family to Disneyland for the day! It was SO fun! I got to ride on so many rides. My favourite was the incredicoaster!" she said.

In September 2022, Johnson re-shared a video on Twitter after he thanked and took a picture with a girl who had been waiting two hours to see the star.

"May sound silly but this kinda stuff (meeting and taking care of fans) will always be the best part of fame," he wrote.

In an Instagram post, the actor shared that he would be giving the girl, 'Carol', and her friend free tickets to see his movie Black Adam, which hit theatres the next month.

"His heart may be cold and black, but it still beats," he said. "Especially, for kids."

Johnson is the proud father to daughters Jasmine, six, and Tiana, four, often sharing his girl dad moments online.
