Dominic West promises wife Catherine FitzGerald 'never to see, speak or work with' Lily James after scandal

Dominic West has vowed to never speak or work with Lily James again.

The Affair star, 51, made the promise to his wife Catherine FitzGerald, 49, following the scandal surrounding her actor husband and James in Rome last year.

"He has promised never to see, speak or work with Lily again," a close friend to the couple told The Mail on Sunday.

West and FitzGerald have even discussed renewing their wedding vows to rebuild their ten-year marriage

"The idea of remarrying was talked about," the friend added. "Nothing was decided, or has been yet, but Catherine brought up the idea and it was much discussed. It shows how far things have come since those photographs."

According to The Mail on Sunday, there will be no joint interviews to promote the upcoming TV adaptation of Nancy Mitford's novel, The Pursuit Of Love, in which they both star.

In photos obtained by the Daily Mail back in October, West and James, 32, were snapped touring the city together on an electric scooter and later dining at a restaurant, where West was photographed engaging in PDA with the Yesterday star.

Just days after the photos were released, West and FitzGerald responded to reports that they had separated after 10 years of marriage with an affectionate display outside their Wiltshire home in the UK. The couple also put a handwritten note up outside their house that read "Our marriage is strong and we're very much still together. Thank you."

West and Fitzgerald dated after meeting at Trinity College in Dublin, but split after university.

They ended up getting back together, became engaged in 2007 and tied the knot in 2010. The pair share daughters Dora, 13, and Christabel, seven, and sons Senan, 12, and Francis, 11.

West also has a daughter, Martha, from a previous relationship.
