Demi Lovato takes a fresh swipe At Taylor Swift: 'I have no problem standing up for myself'

Demi Lovato, 23, has opened up about her feud with Taylor Swift, 26, saying she stands by comments she made about the 'Blank Space' singer back in February.

"There are women that I don’t get along with, and that's fine," she told Refinery29 this week.

"My thing is, don't brand yourself a feminist if you don't do the work. I have an immense amount of respect for women like Lena Dunham…or Beyoncé, who make amazing political statements through their work," she added.

"I'm not going to stop saying what I believe in. I have no problem standing up for myself."

Reminder: A couple of months ago, Taylor donated $250,000 to Kesha's legal defence in her sexual assault suit against producer Dr Luke, and Demi was not having it.

While she didn't call Taylor out by name, she did criticise the 'Blank Space' singer for throwing money at the problem without making any real change.

Demi was the recipient of a swift (no pun intended) backlash from fans who accused her of removing focus from Kesha and making the story about herself.

And while she clarified her position as being "fired up" at the time, she's standing by her comments.

The 'Cool for the Summer' singer added that she's getting better at voicing her opinions without pushing people away, but we're not sure she'll be lining up to join the girl squad any time soon.
