David Campbell tries on Lisa Wilkinson's blouse after repeat-outfit shaming

After Lisa Wilkinson hilariously clapped back at outfit shamers for wearing the same blouse twice, her Nine colleagues have given it a go, as well!

TODAY Extra host David Campbell tried on the offending burgundy shirt on air alongside Sonia Kruger on Wednesday morning's show.

Having discussed the Daily Mail article that critiqued Lisa's fashion choices, David returned from the ad break wearing the identical top.

Yesterday, the outlet called Lisa "thrifty", writing that "the 57-year-old took to the set on Tuesday in a burgundy cut-out blouse with floral detailing, that was previously worn on the program in early December, last year."

She then retorted with a funny Instagram post, in which she sarcastically suggested, "personally, I'd sack me!!" - and she wore the Sheike blouse again this morning on TODAY.

"I said to her, don't take it off until they stop talking about it," David explained this morning, before jokingly calling the blouse "the community top at Channel Nine", and revealing that Sonia has also previously worn the top.

Still, Sonia defended the article, saying, "I actually understand where they're coming on with this. I think when you turn on the television you want to see something fresh every day."

And proving the shirt is just irresistible to the breakfast folk, Sonia took it back from David and wore it again herself!
