Talking Heads frontman David Byrne has tied the knot with his partner Mala Gaonkar, 55.
The pair got married in a private ceremony in September, a month after Byrne revealed they were engaged, the music legend told the The New Yorker.
In the interview published on November 10, the 73-year-old opened up about his decison to wed again after his previous marriage to costume designer Adelle Lutz.

"I said I would never get married again, after I got divorced," Byrne said.
"It was just working out really well, so we said, 'Well, let's do this for our friends and family.'"
Byrne revealed he and Gaonkar were engaged in an interview with The New York Times earlier this year, when he referred to Gaonkar as "his fiancée".

"I'm getting married this week and made an almost entirely instrumental playlist while our guests eat an amazing and spicy dinner," Byrne wrote on his Instagram Stories.
"My sense is that words and lyrics can be distracting – the ear goes to them, especially if it's a song one knows. So, I opted for buoyant instrumentals that will create a hopeful and joyous atmosphere… and that folks can also ignore at the same time."
The two and a half hour playlist featured songs from El Alfa, Meridian Brothers, Romperayo, Mexican Institute of Sound, and Son Rompe Pera.

Byrne and Gaonkar have been dating for over 10 years, first meeting when they were 64 and 46 in 2016 during production of The Makers series at Stanford Arts Institute.
The pair live together in New York and are often spotted at lavish events.
Byrne was previously married to Adelle Lutz, and they share a child together.
He is a musician and frontman of the rock band Talking Heads, who were seen as pioneers of the new wave music scene in the early 70s.

Gaonkar is a successful financier in her own right.
She got her master's degree from Harvard before founding her own hedge fund in 2022 called SurgoCap Partners.
