Matt LeBlanc reunites with grown-up Dakota Fanning 12 years after her Friends guest role
Heyyy, it's Dakota!
Dakota Fanning got a visit from a very friendly former co-star during her appearance on Live! with Kelly on Thursday.
"I was on the last season of Friends for an episode, and all my scenes were with Matt [LeBlanc]," Dakota told host Kelly Ripa after learning that Matt had also been a guest on the talk show that day. "I think I was nine or 10, something like that."
At that moment, Matt came sneaking out from backstage, much to 22-year-old Dakota's delight.
"Long time, no see! You're so big!" the actor, 49, exclaimed. "Congrats on everything. So nice to see you!"
Dakota had already starred in Uptown Girls, The Cat in the Hat, and I Am Sam when she did her 2004 Friends stint, but she still totally fangirled over the sitcom's all-star actors.
"I was so starstruck meeting everyone in the cast," said Dakota. "I still remember it, and I remember talking to Matt in the breakfast area on the stage, like, on a rehearsal day. And he was asking me something — I don't remember what you were asking — but I was not answering.
"And I remember my mom was standing next to me, and I looked up at her, and she was like, 'What has happened to you? Like, what is wrong?'"
Matt has a new sitcom called Man With a Plan, and Dakota can next be seen in the gritty indie drama American Pastoral.
