Riverdale co-stars Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhardt reportedly split after three years of dating

Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhardt have reportedly split after nearly three years together.

Breakup rumours have plagued the Riverdale co-stars in recent months, with speculation they were isolating separately during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Cole and Lili split before the pandemic hit, and have been quarantining separately," a source told Page Six. "They remain good friends."

Their Riverdale co-star Skeet Ulrich, who plays Sprouse's onscreen dad in the teen drama, seemingly confirmed the news earlier this week during an Instagram Live session. When asked by a fan if he thought Sprouse and Reinhart are a cute couple, Ulrich referred to their coupledom in past tense. 

"I think they were a very cute couple," Ulrich replied, with his Aussie model girlfriend, Megan Blake Irwin, adding, "They were a very cute couple. They're both beautiful people."

The couple have been the subject of breakup rumours since August 2019. People magazine reported that their busy schedules were adding strain to their relationship. 

"At the end of the day, their personalities are very different and their lifestyles often clashed," a source told the publication. "Things have felt super heavy in the relationship for a while, and it got to be too much. They're both very professional, though, and trying to be as amicable and friendly as possible."

However, the pair silenced the split rumours by posting loved-up photos of themselves to Instagram. Reinhardt also praised Sprouse weeks later after he took out the Dream Movie Star category at the People's Choice Award.

"Congrats, to my people's choice best baby," Reinhart wrote in an Instagram Story at the time.
