Cody Simpson's mother comments on his growing romance with Miley Cyrus

Cody Simpson's mother has given her two cents on her son's budding romance with Miley Cyrus.

Australian Angie Simpson expressed her excitement over the match by uploading a selfie of Miley cuddling Cody in the bathroom to her Instagram account.

"Puts a smile on my dial to see you both so blissfully happy 😃 Hearing your laughs and seeing the smiles on your faces lights up my heart," Angie captioned the snap.

She tagged both of them in the photo, and included the captions: #happyforyouguys and #beautifullsouls.

Cyrus responded to Angie's post by commenting with a series of heart emojis.

Angie's reaction to the romance comes after Cody's younger sister, Alli, addressed the relationship at an event on Saturday.

"It's very new, but they have history and they're posting about each other a lot," Alli told the Daily Mail.

Cody gushed about Cyrus at the Tiffany & Co. Mens Launch in Los Angeles in an interview with People this week.

"She's creative. She's very passionate about what she does, and I'm very similar in that sense. That's why we get along so well. We just have a ball, yeah, and that's the most important part of a relationship, you know?" Cody said.

Simpson discussed how their relationship started out as a friendship and evolved into something romantic.

"The reason why it hasn't been a really crazy sudden thing is just because we've been friends for so long," he said.

It was first revealed that Cody was dating the Wrecking Ball singer after a fan posted a picture of them kissing at a Los Angeles restaurant.

Cyrus replied to the media's interest in their outing with a cheeky post: "Can a girl not get a f---ing acai bowl and a morning make out session in peace?!?!".

Cyrus announced that she'd split from her husband Liam Hemsworth on August 13.

Shortly after, she was linked to Kaitlynn Carter who she was spotted kissing while vacationing in Lake Como, Italy.

Meanwhile, Hemsworth is rumoured to be dating Dynasty actress Maddison Brown.
