Christina Applegate has revealed her latest health battle, amid her Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

Speaking on her MeSsy podcast with co-host Jamie-Lynn Sigler, the actress, 52, revealed she recently caught Covid for the first time, which turned into long Covid.

She also candidly revealed that she contracted Sapovirus from contaminated food, saying she's been wearing diapers in recent weeks because of how much she has had to go to the bathroom.

Sapoviruses can cause acute gastroenteritis. She said she thinks she caught it from a contaminated salad from a restaurant.

"I finally got the Covies (sic)... someone real close to me dropped the ball and came home with the stuff and it spread all over the house," she began.

"I had one day when I had a headache and chills and I thought I was making it through this."

"It turned into long covid and it turned into a chest infection and then my heart was doing weird stuff, where it just speeds up... so I was like mother f--ker!"

She said that with the virus, she was "p---ing out of her a** for a few days".

"I was so dizzy. I was so sick. I couldn't eat... Someone else's poop went into my mouth and I ate it."

It comes after The Sweetest Thing star revealed she has 30 lesions on her brain from her Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

"I have 30 lesions on my brain," she said on a recent episode of Dax Shepard's podcast Armchair Expert.

"My biggest one is behind my right eye, so my right eye hurts a lot."

MS is the most common acquired chronic neurological disease affecting young adults, according to MS Australia.

In MS, the body's own immune system mistakenly attacks and damages the fatty material – called myelin – around the nerves. This results in a range of symptoms.
